Quick answer
rSchoolToday's Activity Scheduler puts a Subscribe link right on every public calendar, with feed options for Apple, Google, and Outlook plus a plain download if a live link is not what you want. Pick the option for a phone's calendar app and games or practices land there automatically after that. To combine several activities, teams, or a whole athletic department into one link, paste each rSchoolToday feed into a calendar that reads multiple feeds, like Calfeed.
rSchoolToday's Activity Scheduler runs public calendars for a lot of school athletic departments, and getting one onto a phone is the most direct of the three platforms covered here. No emailed link to wait on, no private token to protect. A Subscribe option sits right on the calendar.
Find the Subscribe link
Open the school or program's rSchoolToday Activity Scheduler calendar. Public calendars are viewable without an account. Look for a Subscribe link near the calendar grid.
Pick a feed option
The Subscribe link lists feed options for Apple, Google, and Outlook side by side, along with a plain download for anyone who wants a one-time copy instead of a live link. Pick whichever matches the phone.
Subscribe on iPhone or Android
Tap the Apple option and confirm the subscription in Calendar on iPhone. On Android, open calendar.google.com on a computer or phone browser, go to Other calendars, tap the plus, choose From URL, and paste the Google feed link in.
Either way, practices, games, and schedule changes flow in on their own after that. Apple checks about once an hour, Google every 12 to 24 hours.
Combine more than one sport or team
A school running rSchoolToday across a dozen sports ends up with a dozen separate calendars. Paste each feed into Calfeed's merge tool and it reads every source into one combined calendar link, up to 10 feeds free, 25 on Pro. Add a rule to one source, like "only varsity games, skip JV," and Calfeed applies it automatically every time that source updates.
